Following the recent Qld floods and under BSA and Qld Plasterers Association advice, it is recommended all plaster be removed from walls due to the capillary reaction and also to give the best finish as butt joins will leave a bulge in your walls.
Once frames have been stripped, moisture tests and mould & bacteria swabs need to be taken. Appropriate action then needs to be undertaken.
Failure to follow these procedures may result in mould growing through walls, ceilings, grout etc. Potential for disease may well be an issue.
